About Us

Consisting of six members almost, all having met at the University of Toronto Mississauga as members of the newly formed Harmonix Music Club, 16 Mile Creek is a band founded on the hype following their past experience performing live together.Centering on pop rock, its individual members contribute a variety of influences ranging from Valley to Lizzy McAlpine, from Blues to New Wave, to help form their unique sound and add to their sensational showmanship on stage.

Having performed several times in ad hoc groups each consisting of 2-3 currently rostered members starting February 2024, five of the members came together to form the group that later would become 16 Mile Creek in late January 2025 for a pair of charity performances.On February 6th, 2025, Andie, Darren, Jared, Maaz, and Pierre took the stage for the first time altogether to perform "When You Know Someone" by Valley, a primary inspiration for the group's founding.Two weeks later, on February 19th, the group entertained the idea of formally forming as a band to write and cover music. A day later, they had initially settled on the name "Lunar Collision," and Ami joined exactly one week afterwards to complete the lineup.On March 23rd, the group finally found their name and were set to perform as "16 Mile Creek" for the first time as openers for Harmonix's "Battle of the Bands" on April 7th. From then, the band has continued to perform odd gigs almost exclusively with one another and persistently put their creative faculties to work to ensure they remain your favorite band for years to come.
